AA/AS in Business/Commerce, General

This associate degree in business is career oriented and aimed at first-time managers and others seeking trainee roles with companies, public agencies and non-profit organizations. Coursework asks students to show their abilities in critical thinking, problem solving, vision, teamwork and working relationships. Those activities are meant to build confidence and a desire to keep learning after graduation. Students may follow either a management concentration or a marketing concentration, and starting a business of their own is another path open to graduates. The program holds membership in a business-school accrediting body, ACBSP. Baltimore City Community College is a public college in Baltimore, Maryland, and its degree students also complete the shared general education coursework, with the catalog listing the full course sequence.
