Cert in Construction Management

Students in this program train to become project superintendents and join the building trades workforce through career-focused management courses. It links mid-level industry roles with further study, and credits can transfer to four-year colleges and universities. A sixty-credit degree is available, and the thirty-credit certificate offers an additional shorter option. Employers collaborate with the program and internships provide field experience. Graduates take jobs such as construction project superintendent, safety officer, scheduler, project supervisor and assistant site manager. Classes are small. Students at Baltimore City Community College, a public college in Baltimore, Maryland, also complete the institution's shared general education coursework, which spans humanities, social science, natural science, mathematics, writing and computer skills.
