PGCert in Special Education and Teaching

This certificate is for eligible graduates holding a bachelor's degree and has two tracks. One leads to a state autism endorsement, and the other adds general knowledge of autism and emotional and behavioral disorders. The endorsement track is open to students in the master's program in special education and to those who already hold specific teaching licenses. The non-endorsement track is open to all graduate students at the college and to non-matriculated post-baccalaureate students. Prior coursework can be reviewed for equivalence, and required courses may be waived if it is judged equivalent. The program page sets out course requirements and learning outcomes in detail, and applicants are pointed to the school's own site for contact and admissions questions. Study can be organized around advisor guidance, and candidates are encouraged to review prerequisites and policies before applying.
