AA/AS in Biology, General

The Biology concentration is designed for students who plan to continue in the life sciences at a four-year institution. It provides foundational science coursework in the first two years. Related choices such as the Chemistry concentration are available for students weighing nearby fields. The plan of study is arranged semester by semester and pairs general education courses with concentration electives, so graduates can continue toward a bachelor's degree. Students placed into developmental math or English start those courses in the first term, and an advisor helps with course choices. Cape Cod Community College is a public community college in Massachusetts, and this associate degree gives students a lower-cost starting point before they move to a bachelor's program elsewhere. Prospective students can review the full list of required courses and credits in the online catalog, and the admissions office can explain application steps, placement testing and available support services.
