AA/AS in Business Operations Support and Assistant Services

Graduates of this administrative assistant track at Cape Cod Community College are readied for clerical and support roles in private companies and in local government offices. The course of study centers on practical office skills, including keyboarding and document formatting, everyday software, and the routines that keep an office running smoothly. Over four semesters, students move from introductory document and computer work, basic business and math for the workplace, into accounting, more advanced word processing, and a look at how municipal bodies are organized. Social science and science or math electives round out the degree and satisfy general education expectations. Students who are matriculated and test into developmental math or English are expected to begin that coursework right away in term one. An academic advisor can answer questions about sequencing and waivers.
