AA/AS in Accounting and Related Services

This concentration within the business administration associate degree prepares students for accounting work and for transfer into four-year accounting programs. It treats accounting as an information system, so technology skills receive steady attention. Students take courses in financial accounting, payroll, QuickBooks, spreadsheets, income taxes and business communication, plus general education in math, science, social science and economics. A tax assistance or accounting work experience course appears in the final semester. Students who are matriculated and place into developmental math or English begin those sequences right away.
