AA/AS in Chemistry

The Chemistry program at Chabot College leads to an Associate in Science in Chemistry. It gives students wide grounding in inorganic chemistry along with quantitative analysis. The program supports majors across the physical and biological sciences, including students preparing for allied health fields, and its courses also satisfy general education requirements. This makes the department a service area for many other programs on campus as well as a path for students who intend to continue in chemistry. A noncredit offering, preparation for STEM chemistry, is listed for students who want to build readiness before entering degree-level coursework. The department's pages provide links to courses, faculty contacts and information about degrees and certificates, and program maps and requirement lists can be found in the college catalog.
