MA/MS in Computer Science

This master's program covers the full life cycle of building computer applications, from abstraction and modeling to algorithm development and software processes. It also touches on hardware platforms, languages and frameworks for development. Students are prepared for professional roles building software or for academic research in the field. They are expected to model problems, choose suitable algorithms and data structures, and implement working solutions. They also develop deep knowledge in a chosen specialty within the discipline and show they can learn new material independently. The program is offered through DePaul University, and its catalog entry sets out the required courses, learning outcomes and application steps. Prospective students should review that page and speak with an advisor to plan how the degree fits their goals and prior coursework.
