BA/BS in Human Services, General

This health and human services bachelor's is an interdisciplinary degree for adult learners who want to finish a bachelor's. It develops communication, research and data analysis skills for work in counseling, crisis intervention, community organizing and advocacy. Graduates are prepared for roles in public health agencies, government offices and social service organizations. Students can transfer previous college credit, earn credit for experience gained outside class and select 21 hours of social science courses to suit their goals. All courses are online and offered year-round, with six start dates per year. Students pick a traditional or accelerated pathway, and accelerated eight-week courses allow completion in about twenty months. An adult learning seminar introduces students new to online classes. Prospective students can request information, schedule a campus visit or start an application through the university website.
