AA/AS in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities

This associate degree gives students a broad base in the liberal arts and a route into many careers or into a bachelor's program. It is offered fully online in flexible seven-week terms and also through a prison education partnership at SCI Chester. The curriculum weaves together faith, reason and justice. The program follows the university's LifeFlex model, which lets students pace their own work within each term. Most students need about two years, though transfer credits and course load change that. Online textbooks are included in the courses, and new students can begin every seven weeks. The degree serves as a stepping stone for students planning to continue toward a bachelor's program. Support for working adults and incarcerated learners alike is built into the way the program is offered.
