The Computer Science program focuses on how computer systems are designed and built. Students receive practical instruction in database management systems, discrete mathematics, systems analysis and design, and how computer hardware is organized. Two specialized tracks are available. The cybersecurity track covers computer forensics, ethical hacking and cryptography, while the data science track introduces computing tools, statistical methods and algorithms for decision making. A minor is also offered. Students are encouraged to bring their Christian worldview to technical work as they prepare for employment in technology fields. Prospective students can ask the admissions team for details about enrollment, request information through the university website, or apply online. Evangel University is a Christian institution, so the program is taught within a faith-centered community where learning and personal calling are expected to inform one another.
