BA/BS in Biology, General

The Biology program explores life at the molecular, cell, whole-organism and ecosystem levels. Students study genetics, zoology, botany, microbes, cells and the environment, using research methods and hands-on training. Each track within the major includes a minor in chemistry or physical science. Career tracks are offered for pre-dentistry, pre-medicine, pre-optometry, pre-veterinary, pre-pharmacy, physician assistant and physical therapy students, with early admission options with KCU for some. Biology can also be taken as a minor or concentration, and classes bring Christian thought into scientific study. Prospective students can ask the admissions team for details about enrollment, request information through the university website, or apply online. Evangel University is a Christian institution, so the program is taught within a faith-centered community where learning and personal calling are expected to inform one another.
