Overview
This undergraduate degree trains students to set up, use and support computing systems for businesses, government agencies, schools and other organizations. It can be taken on campus or entirely online, and both formats share the same requirements.
On campus, students select concentrations such as security and information assurance, health informatics, data mining, mobile computing or web design. Online majors pick two concentrations from those available at launch. Courses in each concentration are grouped in small sets, and majors are expected to include at least one cross-disciplinary option.
The curriculum was designed around ABET accreditation expectations and ACM guidelines for undergraduate information technology study. Graduates can step into entry-level professional positions, grow into leadership roles, or continue to graduate education.
