The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering offers a thesis-based master's degree in electrical engineering through its joint electrical and computer engineering department. Students enroll through one of the two partner universities and should read that institution's graduate handbook.
Candidates are expected to hold a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar area from an ABET-approved program, with a solid grade record in their final two years. Those who studied another field may be assigned a sequence of undergraduate prerequisite courses and must earn at least a B in them before starting graduate work.
Applicants from abroad must also document English ability, using TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson PTE or MELAB results. Engineering master's applicants no longer need to submit GRE scores.
