MA/MS in Architecture

FAMU offers an accredited professional graduate degree in architecture for people planning careers as architects and working toward licensure. Students build advanced abilities in design, research, building technology and professional practice, while considering the social and environmental duties that come with shaping the built environment. There are two entry routes. Applicants with a four-year pre-professional background in architecture or something close to it follow the shorter route. Those arriving from other academic fields follow a longer one that introduces them to the discipline. Because the program carries a STEM classification, eligible international students may be able to pursue optional practical training extensions, depending on federal rules. Applications are submitted through the university's graduate school, and early submission is encouraged for priority consideration.
