BA/BS in Architecture

FAMU's B.Arch. is a professional architecture degree carrying accreditation from the national architectural accrediting board. Completing it fulfills the educational portion of becoming a registered architect. Students spend much of their time in design studios, working on city-scale urban design problems and on whole-building projects, supported by lecture courses. The school and its faculty act as a resource as each student develops a personal professional direction. Entry is competitive and depends on available space. The online application is processed by the undergraduate admissions office, and prospective students should meet both campus-wide and school-specific criteria. Applicants hear back around the end of February and may be admitted, waitlisted or declined, so planning early is wise. The school's accreditation and curriculum details are available from its website.
