This graduate degree focuses on managing communication across global markets. Students may attend in person or finish entirely over the internet, and it covers reputation, branding, social media, crisis response and professional ethics.
Students learn an audience-centered, data-driven method for reaching the public and for analyzing the communication challenges that organizations face. Management and creative tracks are available, and a 4+1 option lets current FIU undergraduates from any major start graduate work early.
The on-campus format consists of ten three-credit classes held mostly at the Biscayne Bay Campus, and it ends with a professional project. New students may start in the fall or the spring. Graduates are prepared to advance in ad work, PR and integrated communication.
