AA/AS in Architectural Sciences and Technology

Fullerton College's Architecture Associate in Science is built for students who intend to transfer and earn a Bachelor of Architecture, and it also prepares them to enter the architectural profession directly. Coursework blends drawing, design, and computer drafting. Required classes include an introduction to architecture, architectural materials and methods, digital graphics, Architectural CAD I through III, Design Studio I through III, sustainable architectural design, and California accessibility and energy codes. Because universities decide placement from a portfolio review, the program stresses work that demonstrates ability in core areas of architectural design. The major takes 37 units, in addition to the college's other graduation requirements. Listed outcomes include applying the building design process, using various software programs to produce drawings, and presenting designs with different media for entry-level architecture work.
