AA/AS in Business Administration, Management and Operations

Business Administration at Genesee Community College prepares students for work in any industry, from startups to large corporate offices. Students examine business within the economic system and learn about internal organization, basic management, accounting, marketing principles and relevant business law. The program emphasizes critical and creative thinking and leadership, and every student completes a cooperative education placement away from campus. They also gain working knowledge of computers. Two degree options exist. The Associate in Science sets up transfer to four-year colleges and a later M.B.A., while the Associate in Applied Science prepares graduates for beginning management roles in companies and public service agencies. Curriculum worksheets for 2026-2027 are available, and a business programs director leads the department. Students interested in transfer should meet with advisors early so their course choices match the requirements of the school they plan to attend.
