PGCert in Public Administration

This Schar School certificate focuses on public management. Students already in a Schar master's program can often earn it with two extra courses, and the certificate may also be taken on its own. It can be completed full time or part time and totals 15 credits. Participants must be admitted to the certificate, using the Schar School's certificate admissions website for requirements. Schar students are terminated after one failing grade, and university rules also end enrollment after failing grades in two courses or unsatisfactory grades totalling nine graduate credits. Prospective students should consult the George Mason University catalog entry for the complete course list and policies, and contact the listed program office with questions about eligibility, course sequencing and how the certificate can be combined with other graduate study.
