BA/BS in Finance and Financial Management Services

Finance at James Madison University is a Bachelor of Business Administration major offered through the College of Business, in the department that also covers business law. The program mixes a rigorous business grounding with applied work outside lectures. Students practice with professional software and live market information in a campus capital markets lab, build contacts with practitioners, and take internships that help them prepare for employment. Three concentrations let students shape the degree: financial analysis, financial technology and analytics, and risk management. Teams from the program have also won the state round of the CFA Institute's investment research challenge, which the page cites as evidence of student achievement.
