BA/BS in Dance

Dance at Keene State centers on modern and contemporary styles, with attention to technique, choreography and performing. It belongs to a combined theatre and dance department that works out of the Redfern Arts Center. Specializations include choreography and performance and dance education, each leading to a Bachelor of Arts. A K-12 dance education certification path is also described. Students appear in productions directed by faculty and attend master classes led by guest artists. Keene State is a public liberal arts college in New Hampshire. The dance program is described as inclusive, and students learn from professional artists while building a foundation for performing, teaching or arts management. The department values collaboration, so dancers often work alongside theatre students, designers and technicians on shared productions.
