Cert in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations

This micro-credential serves professionals looking for a management or general business qualification, and its courses also help people who want to launch their own company. It can be completed in one or two semesters, which is shorter than a 30-credit certificate. All earned credits apply to the Small Business Management certificate as well as the Business Studies degree, so students can build on it later. Students learn to read accounting reports and judge profit, solvency and liquidity, win and keep customers, use business terms, apply management theory, understand the legal setting for business, and write a business plan. To start, students must be ready for college English and math and be approved by the coordinator, and credit may be granted for earlier training through exam, experience or transfer.
