AA/AS in Criminal Justice and Corrections

The Administration of Justice program at Merritt College has prepared students for work in law enforcement, the courts, corrections and homeland security for many years. Instructors are working professionals who bring practical insight from the field. Students can start a new career, move ahead in a current one, or transfer to a California State University through the Associate in Science for Transfer. The program page lists the available degrees and certificates and the related courses. Beyond the classroom, the department promotes a Student Safety Aide program. Participants patrol campus, assist during emergencies and receive training in areas such as first aid and conflict resolution. Applicants must be adults enrolled in a minimum course load. A program brochure is available online. Counseling services and enrollment links are provided from the program page to help new students begin.
