PGCert in Biology, General

The General Biology Certificate is a graduate-level credential offered online through Mississippi State's Department of Biological Sciences. It was built for teachers who already hold a master's degree and need extra graduate biology coursework to teach dual enrollment classes or community college courses. Students take 18 credit hours and may begin in any semester. Up to six related graduate credits may be transferred in, subject to approval by the graduate coordinator or committee. Graduate students in other online programs can also use the courses to meet elective needs. Applicants are advised to check with their own administrators first, since the coursework may not satisfy every credentialing requirement.
