AA/AS in Biology, General

Biology at Moorpark College is an associate degree for transfer, built for students who want to continue to a California State University campus. The degree prepares students to move into a bachelor's program in biology at a CSU campus. Which CSU majors count as similar is decided campus by campus, so students check current lists and consult a counselor. Students complete transferable units, the Cal-GETC general education pattern and the listed major courses, earning a C or better in each. Finishing the degree assures a place somewhere in the CSU system, though it does not promise a particular campus or major. The catalog lists every required and elective course for the current academic year. Moorpark College counselors can help students choose a sequence, track progress toward the award and plan any move to another institution or into the workforce. Prospective students should read the program page for current details before enrolling, since requirements can change between catalog years and course availability varies by term.
