BA/BS in Communication and Media Studies

This Bachelor of Arts at National Louis University trains students for communication work in a digital setting. Students move between physical and virtual classrooms and practise writing, speaking and visual storytelling in projects that mirror real workplaces. Coursework touches community relations, organizational communication, public relations, conflict management and professional writing. Students also produce podcasts and video, build a professional social media presence and examine how ideas differ across platforms. The program sits in the Communication Studies Department, whose majors can contribute to the student magazine Communications Quarterly. An optional marketing minor adds digital marketing, market research and nonprofit marketing. It is offered through Undergraduate College at National Louis University, which has locations in Chicago, Illinois and Tampa, Florida. Prospective students can ask for information, join an event or begin an application from the program page.
