MA/MS in Computer and Information Sciences, General

This graduate degree in software engineering and IT is built for students who want advanced technical expertise. It suits applicants whose earlier training lies in IT, software engineering, or computer science, and who wish to deepen their skills. Two tracks let students align the program with their goals. The research track develops advanced investigative skills for further academic study or research-focused roles. The professional track emphasizes practical capabilities and growth for industry positions. Graduates can pursue careers in product development, project management, analytics, web work, and systems integration. Admitted students work through advanced computing topics while selecting the track that fits their next step. Projects and coursework build the practical depth that employers look for in software teams. Faculty advisors help each student plan a path through required and elective courses.
