PGCert in Wildlife and Wildlands Science and Management

This graduate certificate is a multidisciplinary, course-driven introduction to wildlife management and conservation and to caring for or restoring land habitat. Students develop skills across the biological, assessment and social sciences, taught by department faculty at Corvallis and through Ecampus. Credits earned here carry over to two related master's degrees, a professional science master's focused on administering fisheries and wildlife, and the Master of Natural Resources, and some graduates have continued to thesis-based master's study. Applicants must first give notice to the department. Learners practice locating and weighing sources on a conservation issue, synthesizing peer-reviewed literature in professional writing, and applying human dimensions ideas to emerging concerns. The certificate requires at least five courses.
