Overview

This Biology transfer degree prepares students to continue into upper-division biology work at a California State University campus. It pairs biology with physical science study so that learners arrive at a university with the lower-division groundwork already in place. Students who complete the degree and meet transfer conditions receive guaranteed admission to a CSU in a related major at the junior level, and can finish their remaining requirements within the sixty-unit limit that applies to these degrees. Careers connected to the field include biomedical science, biotechnology, environmental biology and agriculture. Requirements include sixty CSU-transferable semester units, a recognized general education pattern, at least eighteen units in the major, a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and a C or better in each major course.
