The Master of Dispute Resolution prepares both attorneys and non-lawyers to work through disputes by negotiation, mediation and arbitration. These skills apply in areas like HR, policing, business advising, schools and diplomacy.
Learning comes from lectures, discussions and realistic simulations, so graduates can guide dialogue between opposing parties and help reach fair outcomes. The degree is run by the Straus Institute and is available in person in Malibu or online.
Students may begin in fall, spring or summer. No GRE or other standardized test is needed, and every applicant is considered for scholarships. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and the degree can be completed in about a year.
Prospective students can ask for more information, join an information session to learn about admissions, and apply online through the Caruso School of Law.
