BA/BS in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities

This major follows a single, coordinated plan for future multiple-subject teachers and for students who want a wide grounding in the liberal arts. It draws from each of the main academic divisions at Seaver College. Students take courses in history, writing, literature, the social sciences, child and human development, mathematics and the natural sciences. Within the major, three education classes double as part of the teacher preparation track, which supports students heading toward elementary-level classroom licensure. The division responsible for the program publishes its intended learning outcomes and reports what recent graduates were doing in the half year after completing their studies.
