BA/BS in Finance and Financial Management Services

This finance-focused business administration bachelor's degree examines how companies raise and invest capital, how individuals divide savings among investments and how markets match capital supply with demand. Students choose among three concentrations and work with real-time market data on Bloomberg terminals in the Edward Jones Data Analytics Lab. Finance majors can earn Bloomberg Market Concepts certification as part of their coursework without extra charge. Selected seniors manage a portion of university endowment funds in an Applied Portfolio Management course and are individually coached by practitioners. Co-op, internship and student organization options add further professional experience within the Chaifetz School of Business. Together these elements give graduates practical familiarity with financial analysis tools and investment decision-making, supporting careers in corporate finance, investment management and related professions throughout the global economy.
