BA/BS in Computer Science

This Computer Science B.S. suits students who enjoy technology and solving problems, and who want to build software and understand how algorithms work. The degree rests on core study of programming and data structures. A four-year timeline gives students room to develop a disciplined approach to problem-solving, with hands-on class activities guided by technical experts. Teamwork, critical thinking and communication are practiced alongside technical skills. In the capstone, student teams design and build a mid-sized software project that addresses a real problem. Independent studies, special topics, internships and research collaborations add further depth. Students can also earn Cisco Academy credit toward CCNA preparation. A minor in computer science is available, and a suggested four-year plan guides course sequencing. Prospective students can request information or apply through the university admissions office, which also publishes tuition details and transfer guidance.
