AA/AS in Marine Transportation

The Marine Diving Technician associate degree trains students to work as professional commercial divers and technicians. Students may enroll on a reduced or complete course load, and some coursework does not involve diving at all. Instruction spans commercial diving, pressure medicine, marine science, boating, bell and saturation diving, emergency care and remotely operated vehicles, with teamwork and safety at the center. Completing the full degree makes students eligible for the industry certifications employers require and broadens later career choices across the diving and marine industries. Prospective students can review the sample program map for marine diving technician on the college degree planning site, which lays out the course sequence and the units needed to graduate, and should confirm admission steps, costs and scheduling with the college before enrolling.
