Computer Information Systems is an associate degree delivered entirely online. It introduces students to the many ways computing supports modern companies and the changing demands those companies face. The classes are aimed at people who want to start out as programmers, analysts, computer operators, network managers, managers of information systems, or sales and technical support specialists. Students learn why system software, data storage, coding and managing projects each matter in the technology workplace. They also rehearse real working conditions by joining a project team, taking on duties such as writing programs, designing databases or administering systems. The program map shows how courses are arranged across terms, and students can meet with a counselor to build a personalized plan. Counselors are available to help each student shape an individual plan toward graduation.
