Cert in Accounting and Related Services

This credential covers the opening portion of the accounting associate degree and is intended as a step toward finishing it. Completing it means finishing the first fifty-five credits of that program. Courses are offered online and on campus, starting in fall, winter or spring. Graduates may work in bookkeeping, payroll, ledger and tax preparation roles or as junior accountants. Many new accounting jobs are expected in small, fast-growing firms and CPA offices. Because the courses form the early part of the degree, students can continue directly into the remaining accounting coursework after finishing, and they may also consider related business certificates.
