AA/AS in Business Administration, Management and Operations

The college in St. Cloud offers two separate associate degrees in general business. Both aim to give students broad footing in how organizations run, along with abilities useful for further study or employment. The Business Management degree is an applied science credential that begins with foundational business classes. It then shifts toward leadership and planning, then people management, accounting for managers, and starting a venture. Students fill out the remainder of their schedule with business electives, which lets them tailor the degree to the kinds of management jobs common in the surrounding region. Graduates typically enter supervisory, administrative, or operations positions at public and private employers. The Business Transfer Pathway is an associate of science meant for people who plan to continue toward a four-year degree. Its coursework moves directly into designated bachelor's programs at the Minnesota State universities. Each route totals sixty credits, and instruction in both emphasizes making decisions, communicating clearly, thinking critically, managing projects, and solving problems.
