AA/AS in Electromechanical Technologies/Technicians

This applied science degree prepares students for work as electro-mechanical technicians, setting up, servicing and fixing electronic gear and automated systems. The Mechatronics and Automation option leads to jobs in fields such as aerospace, paper manufacturing and food processing. Alongside technical content, students develop workplace skills including communication and teamwork. A sister option in instrumentation and process control covers measurement, industrial control systems and related topics. Many students combine more than one credential, which makes them more flexible in the job market. A shorter certificate teaches alternating and direct current electronics, digital and analog circuits, test equipment and schematic reading, and can lead to roles in alarm installation or electronic assembly. Prospective students can view the course list on the college page for each option.
