PGCert in Political Science and Government

This graduate certificate gives students a focused grounding in public policy and political administration. It can be earned alone or alongside a master's degree, and graduates of the department's master's program may return to complete it. Applicants should note that federal aid is not available when the certificate is pursued independently of the master's degree. The certificate is a shorter, targeted route for people who hold a degree and want added expertise without committing to a full master's program. The program is based at the Queens campus and its published curriculum totals 18 credit hours. Applicants should consult the program page and the admissions office for current entry requirements and deadlines. Prospective students can also use the program page to ask for more information, begin an application or arrange a visit to campus before deciding.
