PGCert in Psychology, Other

This graduate certificate helps educators and service professionals understand and support people with autism spectrum disorder throughout life, whether at school, at home or in neighborhood programs. The sequence of three courses introduces the characteristics of autism, how behavior analysis works in practice, and intervention strategies supported by evidence. Interactive classes are paired with fieldwork so that learners practice what they study. The credential is relevant to careers in teaching, therapy, counseling, social services, behavior analysis and program coordination. It can also strengthen the qualifications of professionals who already work in these roles and want a more formal grounding in autism. Coursework is designed to be applied immediately in everyday work with children, teens and adults. Fieldwork turns classroom ideas into practical skills.
