PGCert in Psychology, Other

This bilingual-extension certificate prepares school psychologists who can work with children and families with limited English proficiency. It leads to state certification with a bilingual extension and eligibility for national credentialing, and a national professional body for school psychologists approves it. It builds on an undergraduate psychology foundation and includes a set of practica plus a year of supervised internship. Fieldwork happens in school, clinic and hospital placements, and includes clinical practicum experience in counseling and intervention with children and youth as well as a consultation practicum with a bilingual focus. The program starts in the fall at the Lincoln Center campus, with full-time or part-time study. Applicants who submit by the priority deadline receive an application fee waiver. Applicants can consult the school's frequently asked questions for more detail about fieldwork and the curriculum, and may attend an admissions event.
