Program details

Overview

This clinical master's program trains students to become speech-language pathologists. Graduates serve young children, teens and grown adults facing communication difficulties, in early intervention, schools, hospitals, rehabilitation settings, nursing facilities, community clinics and private practice. Learning is hands-on. Students train next to clinical faculty at UCF's on-campus communication clinic and then continue in internships arranged with a large network of practicum sites around Orlando and across Florida. Community-based speech-language pathologists supervise much of this applied work. The degree is offered by the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders within the College of Health Professions and Sciences and is designed to take two years. The program is part of UCF's College of Health Professions and Sciences. Interested students can request information from UCF or start an application online, and current deadlines are published on the university site.
