PGCert in Petroleum Engineering

This certificate gives graduate students a concentration in petroleum management. It is open only to people currently enrolled in the university's MBA program in the business school, and finishing it yields a certificate recognizing the specialization. Once admitted through an online application, students take the certificate coursework concurrently with their MBA. The core includes a course on corrosion engineering and a petroleum management seminar, and the whole certificate adds up to 16 hours. Half or more of the credits must come from advanced courses numbered 700 or higher. Substitute courses accepted for the certificate may sometimes be available online or at the Edwards Campus rather than in Lawrence. The certificate adds petroleum technical knowledge to a business education, helping graduates work across engineering and management.
