PGCert in Business/Commerce, General

Designed for graduates whose bachelor's degrees lie outside business, this online graduate certificate introduces the central ideas of how organizations are run. It gives career changers and working professionals a compact way to pick up management fundamentals without stepping away from a job. Study takes place entirely over the internet and requires four courses, drawn from economics for managers, financial accounting, statistics and one advanced elective in the college of business. A motivated student can finish in roughly a year. The sequence is arranged so that credits flow smoothly toward the Charlton MBA, and the test requirement for that degree may be waived for those who earn strong grades across the certificate courses. The business school holds the top international accreditation for its field. To apply, candidates submit college transcripts showing a bachelor's degree or its equivalent, a short personal essay and a resume. Staff in graduate programs can answer questions about the process.
