Applied Computing at UW Bothell is a multidisciplinary Bachelor of Arts major that joins computing with a second area of interest. It is aimed at students who expect to use technology within another field, since computing skills are needed in nearly every profession. The curriculum combines core and elective computer science courses with coursework in the student's chosen Second Discipline, as well as free electives and breadth requirements. Students build analysis and problem solving techniques, an understanding of how software is designed and developed, and communication and business management skills. The program also supports career navigation, helping students connect their personal values to work they find balanced and satisfying.
