AA/AS in Human Resources Management and Services

Human resources specialists handle recruiting and hiring, explain benefit programs to staff, maintain employment files and coordinate with payroll. Studies also take in employment law, training and development of workers, pay and benefit administration, relations between labor and management, and health and safety. The curriculum totals 60 credits over two years and leads to an associate of applied science degree. Start terms are August, January and June. Classes meet in the evening within eight-week sessions and use a hybrid delivery format. A laptop is the sole piece of equipment named. A $30 fee is due when submitting the online application to the college. Because instruction is hybrid, part of the coursework happens online, which can suit students who hold jobs during the day.
