AA/AS in Human Resources Management and Services

The Human Resources associate degree equips students for a people-focused role inside any organization. Courses in employment law, employee relations, and recruitment and selection prepare learners for the daily tasks of an HR department. Students learn to recruit and hire staff, run orientations, put compensation and wellness programs in place, build a workforce plan, develop training, examine total rewards, support healthy employee relations, lead by example and apply safety and risk practices. An internship offers real work experience, and local employer connections add to the learning. An online option makes the schedule flexible, and classes begin in January and August. Students may be eligible for federal financial aid, and people with earlier work or classroom experience can ask about receiving credit for prior learning. The college also maintains agreements with other institutions so graduates can transfer credits if they continue their studies.
