Overview

The Associate of Science in Business and Economics gives students a foundation in accounting, economics, statistics and management information systems, along with other business areas they select. It introduces the communication and analysis tools used in professional business settings. A total of sixty credit hours is needed, and transfer students must complete at least twenty of them at the university. Required business and economics courses must be passed at a C level or above, and the cumulative major average in the Goddard School must reach at least 2.5. Advisement is strongly encouraged for everyone in the school, and degree planning maps are provided to help students sequence their classes. The credential also works as a stepping stone toward a four-year business degree, and it gives learners a base in business communication.
