This master's degree is interdisciplinary, drawing on faculty and facilities from numerous departments across the university's colleges and schools, so study can be tailored to a student's interest in plants, animals or human biology. It is administered by the Davis agriculture and natural resources college.
Students can specialise in areas such as molecular and human genetics, plant genetics, cytogenetics, immunogenetics, toxicology, animal breeding, oncology, embryology and population genetics. Only complete applications are considered.
Each graduate program sets its own admission terms and deadlines, and applicants may apply only for the terms the program lists. Questions about timing go to the program representative, and the university's graduate admissions site describes how to apply and what international applicants must add to their file.
